the time was ten o’clock
talking to a woman in a parking lot
the conversation didn’t get very far
she said she’d been touched by the hand of God
shruggin my shoulders, I remember thinking “I’d rather not…”
It’s crazy to think, that I could write someone off without a thought.
so here I stand with my tail between my legs
burnin through all these thoughts as I think of my mistakes
plenty of reasons to be scared, but I ‘aint afraid…
the entire drive home my thoughts were fogged
that maybe, if I spoke, I could receive a response
what a shallow concept, oh, what a regal idea.
that maybe the Teacher would teach me a lesson, if I were to appear
